Moving to a floor bed (mattress help!!)

Are babies meant to have a special mattress rather than a standard single? We are planning to move her to a floor bed soon and there are specific kid singles & then just a generic single?

Yes they need to be firm and flat with no dips in. Happycosleeper has a little test you can do to make sure it’s firm enough on her instagram.

As above - I did a lot of research when I was buying my LG and found the specific kids bed were all open coil whereas non-kid ones you could get pocket sprung which are more supportive and meant to last longer x

@Yaz where did you get yours from?!

Mattressonline, you can filter by size and type and firmness etc and can exchange for another one within 60 or 100 days (can’t remember!) which I did as I found the first one I ordered was a bit too soft. I think over the age of 1 it needs to be medium-firm rather than strictly firm (I think the happycosleeper on Instagram has a post on this) but just double check as I got my LG’s when she was under 1 x

Look at happy cosleeper on fb for a list of recommendations, most of the ikea firm ones are on there. We went first the vagstranda x
