Food throwing and eating food off the floor

My 23 month old was baby led weaned and has always thrown his food on the floor but lately he throws it on the floor and also eats it off of the floor he refuses to sit and eat in his high chair and will climb out even when strapped in, is this normal behaviour? My parents tell me it is my fault because I trained him by doing baby led weaning instead of spoon feeding him and it's making me feel like a terrible parent. Anyone else's 23 month old do this?

My girl does throw food on the floor every meal and she will also eat off the floor if she has snacks in a bowl she will put them on the floor then put her mouth to the floor to pick it up🤦‍♀️ it’s not about weaning method, it’s just toddler behaviour and them testing us. I ignore it a lot because she wants the reaction, I’m hoping she will grow out of it in the next few months🤞 please don’t ever let people make you feel like it’s your fault, people just have too high expectations of children. You’re doing amazing xx

Occasionally mine throws food and also at the moment refuses his high chair. We did a mix of BLW and purees. We got him a little table and chair. It's not brilliant as he now wanders off and doesn't eat anywhere near as much as he did, plus it's messier but he no longer throws food

@Stephanie that’s true actually, my toddler has a table and chairs and she doesn’t throw food off there xx

All 3 of mine have gone through phases of throwing food and eating off the floor. It's something some toddlers do and not anything to do with weaning method.
