Oh we also have a bath mat in our bath as well xx
Hmmm above what has been said, how about doing a trial run without the water? So just let her play with her toys in the bath a bit during the day? That will help get her used to the bath without the seat. Once she understands she can still stand, crawl in the bath she should attempt even with water Oh and if she's really scared, just do a small amount of water (like ankle?) so she's more confident?
My 1 year already started walking xx
Thank you! @Shan I've used the bath tub in the day with her before without water and she has been fine but it's a good shout to try it again now that she's been in it in the bath with water as well. And I was thinking maybe i filled it up a bit too high for her first time so I'll try with a small amount as you said ❤️
My little girl started climbing out so we had no choice but to transition 🫠 however we got a bath mat as mentioned above but a sealife one so lots to look at, we didn’t put a huge amount of water in the first few times and now if I do bathtime rather than my partner 😅 she’s also recently taken to laying on her tummy in the bath with the toys I think it’s time and confidence every baby is different don’t put to much pressure on yourself maybe try every other bath without the seat?
Strongly recommend a bath Matt for inside the tub! It’s stops them sliding around gives them something to hold on to so they’re not as scared to move around! My LO loves the bath with the Matt in but hates it with the Matt out. ❤️
We have a bath mat, you could put her in the bath with you and see if this helps.
I'd just be persistent. It's probably as you said it's new and she'll get used to it. My LG crawls in the bath to get her toys that float out of reach and even stands unaided now. It's all about being confident in the water, it just takes time, she'll get used to it. Xx
