@Lara did you get cramping along with it? How many days did the bleeding last? I really hope that is the case xx
What is the cramping like? As when I was miscarrying the cramping was like a period and rather painful x
I was doubled over in agony but I also have endometriosis so could’ve been affected by that too. It was 2-3 days for me x
@Julia it’s more of a dull ache but not constant x
@Lara how did you find out was it long after? I’ve done a pregnancy test and it’s still a strong positive but I know they can show positive for a while I’ve never experienced this before c
I had a scan I think it was a day or two after it started x
Can you get a referral to the epu for a scan. At 7 weeks your should be able to get a scan to check everything.
Please contact your Early Pregnancy Unit to get your blood tested for HCG and possible scan. It could be an ectopic (have been there). Best to get checked out my lovely. ❤️
@Danielle I’ve got an appointment for tomorrow feels like I’ve got to wait forever …
@Amy I’ve got an appointment tomorrow do they let you know the results on the same day? I’m also still testing positive on a pregnancy test?
It’s a little more complicated if it’s an ectopic. They do a blood test and then you have to go back in a few days to have a second blood test to check how the HCG is rising. If it’s doubling or more that’s a good sign, if it’s not - it’s usually an indication of a problem. They may decide to do a scan, the problem is, if it’s an ectopic sometimes they can’t see it on a scan. For me I had to have exploratory surgery to determine if it was an ectopic. For me, they found it in my right tube (it had already ruptured and was life threatening). BUT just because that was my outcome, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s yours. There are many reasons for bleeding in early pregnancy (not all of them worst case scenario) and the EPU will be able to explain them to you fully. I hope for you it is something else but if it is, glimpse of hope - I’m currently 36+6 with my rainbow baby. ❤️
@Amy thank you for telling me your experience ❤️ atleast I’ll know what to expect if it is that , congratulations with your baby that is incredible news and gives me hope xxx
I had this from a subchorionic hematoma, it terrified me but baby was fine. I had it again a few times throughout pregnancy. Crossing my fingers for you x
