Baby not eating

Baby had 8 teeth by 7 months so weaning did not go smoothly and he spent majority of 6 months refusing food. Around 2 weeks ago he decided he wanted to eat so we were giving 3 meals and snacks. I thought “finally!” But now he’s back to refusing food from me (will probably eat with others) and only wants breast milk. It’s not easy for others to feed him either as my husband and grandparents work full time. What do I do? I know breast milk is still nutritious last 12m but shouldn’t be main source of nutrition. I’m feeling really deflated about it :( feel like a failure

No advice I'm afraid but my boy is the same. Every so often he has little bursts where he'll eat but most of the time he just tries a little bit then starts spitting it out or throwing on the floor. He also seems to just want breast milk still 😭 will your LO be going to childcare soon? As I think this often helps them to eat more as they're around other babies eating and they don't have the option of breastfeeding x

@Harriet sorry to hear Harriet, although equally selfishly pleased to hear I’m not alone! Hope it gets better for you asap. Yes he’s starting nursery in Jan so really hoping this helps. How about you? Sending you lots of love and positive vibes xx

Yeh it's definitely reassuring to know there are others in the same boat! My little one has done a few short nursery sessions but is starting properly in January too so I'm really hoping this makes a difference for both of us! I'm sure they'll get there eventually 🤞🏼 sending lots of positivity your way too! X
