Tips for increasing milk supply

Hi everyone, currently I'm combi feeding our 4 week old baby. I wanted to reduce the number of formula feeds but I don't think I'm making enough milk. Baby will have breast milk for about 45 mins at a time and then starts crying hysterically and only settles when we give him formula. Any tips on how I can increase my milk supply?

Pumping every 2 hours , and with my first son I took Fenugreek , got it From Holland & Barret and I had so much milk .

I pump every 2-2:30h during the night as well. Also I take fenugreek and brewers yeast 3 times a day. Drink around 4-5ltr of water and at least once a day hot chocolate. Keep seeing that hot chocolate helps with milk supply. Been exclusively pumping for around 3 weeks and went from barrenly getting 30-40ml per session to 110-120ml per session.

Thanks @Nicol and @Neli. How long do you pump for per session? xx

@Sofia it's better to pump for short periods regularly. So 10 mins on each side every 2 hrs should be fine. Although pumps are not as efficient as babies so best thing to do is out baby on breast. Getting frustrated on the breast so also hiw they get your supply up.

I do 25mins as anything less doesn’t empty completely my breasts. Also good pump is important. I had a cheap one from Amazon as my first but it didn’t do the job and was very painful so changed to Momcozy M5.

Try power pumping. Worked a treat for me I went from not having enough to feeding him his feed and having a freezer full x
