Combi feeding?

This is breastmilk and formula right? Yes I am. Started this last month. My LO is 6.5 months now. What questions do you have?

Yes he still wakes twice over night. I only give him the formula when I don’t have any breastmilk available so he probably gets two bottles a day I’d say. We usually make them 6oz. I think I’ve combined the milk and formula once before and just used whatever milk I had and then you fill with water and formula the rest of the way. So say you want to make a 6 oz bottle and you only have 2 oz of milk, you would add 4 oz of water and then your formula which was 2 scoops.

@Willa I haven't ever heard of this water method. Surely baby is getting more water than milk this way? 4oz water = 4 scoops formula? Obviously whatever works for you Just wondering what's the point in watering it down?

This is the only formula I’ve ever used so I’m not sure if this is the case for them all but I think that’s pretty standard…..So 8oz water:4 scoops of formula, 6oz water:3 scoops of formula, and so on

In this case, it’s not being mixed with breastmilk. But as I said before, always add your milk first and then you base how much formula and water you need to add off that.
