Mirena coil

Any experience of the Mirena coil please? I used to be on the pill but hated the way it made me feel and think the Mirena coil may be the best option going forwards but I’m worried! Please be honest, good and bad, thank you x

Following, as I was also advised this after realising the pill really isn’t for me! But very nervous of the concept x

Personally I had a negative experience. I found it very painful with the doctors inserting it. They told me it didn’t sit right so I had a vaginal scan to check which wasn’t pleasant, so they took it out which was painful and tried again which was painful and the exact same thing happened again so in the end I gave up. The doctors said apparently it could have been the shape of my womb 🤷🏼‍♀️everyone’s different and will have different experiences though!
