Admitted to the Ward 🏨

It's currently 4:26am, and instead of letting my pregnancy horomes get to me, I thought I'd do a little post 😂 I've been in the hospital for the last two days because of pain and found out I'm 2cm dilated. That's all nice and well, but it's 4am in the forking morning, and someone got admitted across from me and she's already been told by a Midwife to get off facetime because people are trying to sleep and she continues to yap on her phone, She's already woken me up once. I completely understand that she's probably scared and wants to speak to someone, but I'm also tired and want my sleep 😫 I just beeped the staff again, and I think she knows understands, hopefully.. Am I in the wrong? Or am I overreacting? 🫠

No you're right, you need your peace, she is an adult and should know better or speak with a lower voice....hope you'll be ok

@Marie Thank you love, I'm glad I'm not going crazy😂 She seems to of stopped after being told of for the second time because they said if she doesn't she can go home.. So finally I can attempt to go back to sleep. 💜

When I went into hospital with false labour a few weeks back there was a woman yapping on the phone. If she didn’t look like she’d smash 30 rounds out of my face I would have said something too. People need their sleep - especially since you’re already going through enough during labour. I think if I knew I was going to be staying in longer or actual labour was coming on, I’d have asked to be moved if possible or have her moved to her own room or someone else’s ward to stop her causing further distress to other mums. You need all the energy you can get. Good luck with your labour ☺️

I can't believe how inconsiderate some people can be!?! I wouldn't dare be on a phone call in the middle of a quiet ward where people could hear me... I hope I don't get people like this when I'm in there.... I'm too nice to say anything 🙈😅

God if I was in your position I’d be telling her myself 🤣

You are not in the wrong but when you get put on a ward it is hard. I was awoken multiple times at 3am with people FaceTiming family abroad !!! Men snoring, it was horrible. She I’ll regret not getting rest as you need all the never you can muster up.

2 weeks ago I was on the Maternity assessment ward for 2 days as I was having contractions at 34 weeks. And in the curtain opposite me was a girl with her partner who were chatting loudly alll night. Like 3am watching vids on their phone and laughing. Every hour he sprayed Lynx Africa and the whole bay stank and I couldn’t breathe. Also forgot my inhalers so was bad timing. I was so furious. I think if you’re a decent person, situations like this in life come with unwritten rules. You follow a certain etiquette. In the same way that if she was loud because she was sobbing I wouldn’t be at all mad. Selfish behaviour.

People are really selfish honestly this will be my 3rd child and I dread having to stay 1 night in the hospital in the ward as I know how it can get I've experienced it twice now your not wrong to complain its worse when the baby is here and you have babies crying on top of men talking or women on their phones. I'm having a c section so have no choice to stay overnight.

Oh gosh this is why I've packed ear plugs in my hospital bag lol. Hope you got some sleep
