Help

My LG is 8 months old and is still having 3oz-5oz every 2.5/3 hours. She is also having 3 meals a day. I have tried upping her bottles but she never takes more than 5oz. I’m just wondering if this is normal or if there’s anything I can do to change this?

Try introducing snacks instead of upping milk. I was talking to my HV about this before Christmas and she said its a lot and should be dropped down on the milk (we're breastfed). I've now got her on milk for sleep and snacks in between meals if she's hungry or offering some water

I know this sounds stupid but is she like crying for milk? Is she sort of suggesting to you that she is really hungry? Or is it more of a habit feeding her that often, meaning you may be able to stretch the feedings longer, without her being upset? X

Mine is too, usually more than this. She’s still not a big eater, I’m not worried though

Mine does this too but never finishes her bottles so thinking of introducing snacks to her

@Rhiannon she is crying for milk yes, I’ve tried stretching it and sometimes she can go up to 4 hours between feeds but then she still doesn’t take anymore than 5oz and is mardy. She is putting on weight how she should and is happy within her self so I’m not worried about her. I think it is just a concern for me because I am comparing what she does to other babies 😅 we will be seeing the health visitor soon as well so I will bring it up with her. I was wondering if any other mums are having this with their babies

My girl has never taken more than 6oz in a bottle if that makes you feel any better and that's on a good day. She usually has 3/4 Oz but enjoys her meals more... Definitely talk to HV if you're worried :) x
