People who live in Hove ! Specifically the Portland road , blatchington road , boundary road areas

Please be careful of this pitbull, it is aggressive and often not wearing a muzzle. It went for me as I was pushing the pram , luckily that day it was wearing a muzzle. It is very tall so its face is the same height as our babies sitting in their prams. The owner has been seen multiple times smacking it in the face and shouting at it. The dog drags her down the road and it is clear she cannot control it. Always a concern so if you see it please take a wide birth or cross the road. This post is not meant to alarm but I felt I had to let people know.

Thank you x

If you are witnessing a dog being beaten, have you called the RSPCA? The dog is probably scared stiff, hence the reactivity x

As Hannah has suggested I would report to RSPCA if concerned about how the dog is being treated or the police if you believe it poses a threat to the public. Dog attacks by powerful dogs such as pitbulls have devastating results and if the dog is stressed it's far more likely to show aggression.

I’ve reported it to the police as a dangerous dog. RSPCA told me they won’t act unless the dog is malnourished I’ve had this problem before x
