I feel abit embarrassed, my child is 1 years old but doesn't hold his bottle. he does sometimes show interest however I'm wondering is there useful advice or mum hacks on how I can encourage him. he will drink water from sippy cup and tum tum cup by himself.

My LG was the same until she was 16 months old, she could hold it but was more of a comfort thing of cuddling on my lap and me feeding her

Is there a reason he needs to? My little one's 19 months and has never shown any interest in holding his either even though he can confidently drink from a cup. I don't think it's an issue though.

I’m with Sophie, does it matter?

Ours is 15months and doesnt hold his bottle.xx

no I don't have any issues but he will be having 2 feeds still as his under dietitian. I just thinking it may be easier for him to learn to hold a bottle as I will be returning to work after a couple of his settling days. I need to make sure his fine and can manage

Will he be going to nursery? If so they can either give him the bottle or give him milk in a cup. They'll find a way 😊

he will be going nursery, I just want him to continue with his progress and not go backwards. I don't want nursery to keep calling saying his distressed. his a fussy baby when it comes to change so I'd rather me get him comfortable. he went for 2 sessions and his been clingy since. I don't want to do to many changes I guess I'm really anxious
