We did one big thing and one small thing from santa, and I guess her stocking but that just had really tiny silly things in it like plasters 😅 I generally did that 'something to wear etc' list but also an active play type toy and something creative too. So this year she had a wooden balance beam type toy and play-do. I find the 'something she needs' category the hardest because in my mind she needs toys to play with 😂
I've heard of the wear/read/want/need with an added category: something memorable
We get them whatever they ask Santa for.
They get one present from Santa. They get what they ask for (within reason 😂).
Santa gets stocking presents. I tend to do read/want/wear/need and a few other bits.
I don’t control what my kids think about Santa. if they believe that he brought all gifts for them so be it, whatever they believe so be it . I let my kids be and develop in that manner that they choose in relation to old Saint Nick 🎅 it’s all trivial to me. We do have Santa on display in our home in conjunction with the nutcracker and snowman etc but I don’t personally formulate or conjure up any elaborate stories for them though they do have books with stories about him.
Stockings are from Santa and one small gift (often a family present, this year we had Mousetrap). The rest are from us, or friends/family
Just stockings are from Santa. We put small things in them like play dough, lip gloss, pen, notebook, small figurines.
Stocking and one ‘big’ thing from Santa. Then we do the want/need/wear/read from Mummy & Daddy. Pissed me off this year when family were giving him presents from ‘Santa’ and I’m like no, they’re from you. He needs to appreciate when people spend their money on him.
Santa brings stocking gifts in our house and family and friends do the under the tree gifts x
Santa brings a new set of hat/gloves or mittens/scarf and puts chocolates in our stockings. Nothing fancy but mom and dad get all the credit for the big or expensive gifts!
Idk if this is a rule but anything wrapped can from Santa unless otherwise stated (ie family) and unwrapped came from us
I just pick randomly. Santa does the stocking (just little toys a book and some chocolate coins) and then Santa gives one present under the tree (this year a bluey toy kitchen) because we wanted credit for the sit in car we got him😂 I think whatever you decide is fine. All I worry about is when my babies are at school and someone ruins ‘Santa’ for them as I hear some parents aren’t letting Santa have any credit & I really don’t want the magic ruined for my 2 x
Our wee one is still teeny, but our plan is stocking only from Santa, and I’m trying to do want/need/wear/read from us :)
Santa only brings new shoes and chocolates in our house
