Nuby hot shot - why?

When using the Nuby rapid cool, is there a reason for doing the hot shot method and not just using the boiled water straight from the Nuby to the amount you need? Not planning on adding formula direct to the Nuby itself and will be scooping powder directly into the sterilised feeding bottles, then adding the right amount of hot water per scoops.

Hot shot kills the bacteria in the formula I believe

@Zoe would the boiled water from the Nuby not do that anyway because it’s at the right temp? Sorry if I sound dense, just heard a few different methods!

if you’re In the UK then the guidance is that the water has to be above 70 degrees to kill bacteria in formula when it actually touches the formula, hence the hotshot x

No because once you have used the nuby with the water it cools it down to a cool temperature so baby can drink it. So not hot enough to kill the bacteria if that make sense

I have a Nuby what you do is poor the water in the nuby leave 1oz in the bottle add your milk to the bottle this kills the bacteria as it’s boiling water, wait 3 mins and the water is cool in the nuby and then add to bottle.
