Due dates

If the clear blue test says 2-3 weeks. Does that mean 42 weeks minus these 2-3 or 40 weeks minus 2-3 weeks? As I believe it’s the timing of conception? First pregnancy bit clueless tbh! Please correct me wherever you can! Any book recommendations (about pregnancy ) would be great! TIA

@Rachel thanks for this this is supppper useful!! So could be anywhere really between 3-5 week I guess! I’ll just wait for go blood test :) xx

I would appreciate any book recommendations too!

@Pav so technically then it’s 3 weeks in and 37 to go? Omg I think I’m getting confused lol!

@Joanna if I get any I’ll give you a shout! (If I remember memory of a sieve) x

Best thing to do is go on nhs website and use their due date calculator will work off first day your last period to let you know where you are

@Pav can’t say I know exactly when my last period was?! :( usually at the end of the month around the 26/27th but it really could be a week either way! As I was quite irregular anyway!

@Pav but I will certainly have a look thank you!!!! :) xx

@Pav from my guesstimate then it’s suggest I’m roughly 5 weeks pregnant and it should be due around the 1st of September :) however I went with the earliest date it could be so that first week of sept would be roughly when I’m due :) xx I’m really looking forward to my first scan! Xx

Congrats either way! I think I’ll be due around 7th sept if all goes to plan 4 wks now

Nice!! Thanks!!! ❤️very excited but it’s stilll sooooo early ahhaha! Xx

I know it’s going to drag!😂 I have zero patience too. When’s your first scan

@Pav not sure yet got gp appointment tomorrow! :) hoping they’ll be able to confirm :) Again no idea what I do tbh! I was just gonna call them and ask for an appointment because pregnant? Xx

Ah check your local nhs website you can usually self refer on there if got positive home test. My gp told me not to bother coming in and do that as that’s all they would say anyway

Ahhhhh okay!!! I will check with south mead hospital then I think they have a maternity unit :) thanks!!!

@Pav thanks defo saved me some time and bother there! Xdont you have to wait until 7 weeks though :( xx

No as long as you have def tested positive on home test can refer early as possible. They prefer that then they will schedule an app in with you when best suits which they would go by availability and info you give them on form

Okay! Ngl I have had a look and dunno if I’m just dumb but I can’t find anywhere when I can self refer haha I’ll have to look tomorrow when I’ve not been at work all day ahhaha! Brains smushed x

What’s your local hospital?

I generally use southmead bristol xx
