GP delayed Jabs

So, this Thursday it will be 5 weeks since the GP stated that someone would call for an appointment for our sons 12 weeks jabs and still nothing. We have called 2 times and get the same story. He will be 17 weeks this Thursday and I’m starting to get angry as they say how important jabs are but we are getting nothing back on this therefore all jabs will be later. Wondering if anyone has dealt with this?

Our 4m jabs were delayed too. Because my GP was travelling for the holidays. He’ll be 5m when he gets them in January. When I raised my concerns she said it doesn’t delay future vaccines and isn’t a problem. Because he’ll be due for some at 6m and I was worried about the same. I hope you get an app soon though.

How frustrating! For my GP I had to call up to book in all appointments, but it sounds like it's the other way round for your GP. The only thing I can think of is to ring 111 to see if they can get it prioritised?

@Jennifer thinking of calling our Health Visitor as well to advocate for us

Once you get in, make sure to make at least one future appointment before you leave the office, especially for shots and regular well visits.

Find a new GP ?

Can your health visitor not do them? Sorry, maybe slightly different. Here, we have a health nurse, and she does all childhood vaccinations. If not, maybe fine somewhere with their books open that can do them so you can get them done?
