What to do about breakfast?

Our little girl is like clockwork and wakes up anywhere between 5:30-6:15am every morning. As soon as she's awake, she wants milk (she won't settle back down after milk, she's ready for the day 😅) It was fine when she was on formula as it would fill her up until breakfast around 7:30/8am. However, now she's on cows milk, she has about 6oz and then she's still hungry. She won't take anymore milk and wants breakfast/solids. I just feel 6:30 is too early to offer breakfast?

Offer her a snack before breakfast or just do breakfast at 6:30 and then a snack around 7:30/8 x

I used to do a small snack 6:30, like a banana or some rusks. And then porridge at 7:30ish. He now wakes an hour later so he has milk and then breakfast after. Tried to drop the bottle but he’s obsessed and SCREAMS the second he’s out of his cot until he gets the bottle and will refuse breakfast if I try that before milk😂🙈😂 xx

I posted this exact same thing the other day! My little one wakes up desperate for mil, but want to start doing breakfast first, but can’t imagine doing this at 530 😂 @Courtney at what point did your little one start sleeping in a little later ? I hope these 5/530am wakes are just a phase and aren’t forever !

@Ellie hahaa he’s a week shy of 19 months and I’d say it’s only been the last sorta 4-5ish months that he’s sleeping later. He has really high sleep needs though & sleeps more than he’s awake. He will sleep 7pm-7:30/8am (I have to wake him though, if I leave him, he’d go until 9am easily) & then naps 12-4pm. Again, I have to wake him. He just can’t seem to stay awake longer than 2.5-3 hours and will start the cycle of screaming and sleeping on the carpet 😂🫠 xx

Oh bless him ! Okay so hopefully I only have another 6 months to wait 😫🤣🤣🤣
