yes! lactating actually causes your dopamine to plummet so it can also contribute greatly to the baby blues.
Early on pumping was making me feel nauseated, but nursing did not. My LO is almost 2 weeks old and it’s resolved now. Definitely starving/thirsty and very tired though
GIRL, YES! We’re exclusively pumping/bottle feeding. I tell my man all the time when I’m in the chair pumping, “this is sucking the whole life outta me.”
I havent experienced this, it just makes me feel like pumping is a chore tho. I only pump 2-3 times a day cause i dont have the energy to pump more than that. Im trying to pump more tho😩
@Riley Alexis THIS. I’m doing this too and omfg
It does take a lot more of a toll on you to be producing milk for baby, so we’re definitely not faking it when we are feeling tired from nursing/pumping. And look at this “Yes, producing milk, particularly through breastfeeding, can make you feel tiredbecause it requires a significant amount of energy and triggers the release of hormones like prolactin and oxytocin, which can promote relaxation and drowsiness; essentially, your body is working hard to produce milk, leading to fatigue.” So it’s most likely those hormones making us so exhausted 🥱
Yes, extremely tired and ravenous.
Yes! I've been saying how tired and weak I feel. Even if I sleep, I'm still tired when breastfeeding and trying not to fall asleep.
No but thinking about having to pump is something else and trying to make the time for it is ughh but I love what it does for my baby
@Madelynn I thought I was the only one I pump 2-3 times daily cause trying to find the time is something else girl
@Breianna i found this schedule that a breastfeeding mama shared and ima try it tmr and see how it goes! Only thing i refuse to do is pump after 11pm its bedtime lmaoo

Wow I’m glad I’m not alone. I feel lightheaded sometimes and pretty lethargic most of the time. I’m trying to eat a little more and more nutrient dense foods to combat it. But whew, it sure does take a toll. And with the sleep deprivation… we are going through it.
(Update) What I’ve noticed is that I react badly (feeling like every bit of life and energy is sucked out of me) when I haven’t eaten enough and I’m not hydrated. I get hit with it regardless because of how exhausted I am but I feel it especially when that’s the case. I wonder if it could be the same for others
@Madelynn can you share?! Desperately needing some semblance of a plan..
@Allyson Rae messaged u it!
@Madelynn can I have the schedule too
Yes, and super hungry!
