Dissolvable Stitches

Doesn't sound right. Have you had your GP check yet? They might need to remove them for you

@Katie My GP and a specialist have both checked for different reasons but haven’t said anything about them not dissolving. I was given some cream to help with healing and it’s only from applying that that I can feel them. I think I’ll contact my GP again, thank you!

I had a second degree tear and my stitches only fully dissolved when I was 5 weeks postpartum

I had a second degree tear in my first pregnant and an episiotomy 5 weeks ago and my stitches with both dissolved 3 weeks in x

I had a second degree tear, kind of internal, the stitches hadn't dissolved for me by day 14 and I am pretty sure I can still feel them now. A few midwives checked them during those first two weeks and said the stitch was excessive and tied in a knot 🥴🫣🤦🏻‍♀️ I was told they could be cut out or would dissolve in 6/8 weeks, I'm hoping to get my GP to check, baby is currently 5 weeks old x
