It could have expired. It’s highly doubtful though. I’ve only seen one false positive but it looked a little different than simply a positive. Only way to confirm is another test. Chances are it’s correct though because it is incredibly rare to get a false positive.
The doctor told me that it’s less than a 1% chance to get a false positive on a digital test

I’d say slim. Test again in case the test may have malfunctioned in some way. I guess it could if it was older.
