Race

Not a racist post I just need clarification. My husband is Mexican and I’m Jamaican. On forms he put Hispanic and then white. For me it’s none Hispanic and black. In this case what would I put for our daughter. I usually put Hispanic and black. But honestly she doesn’t look like she has an ounce of black in her. She practically looks white. Which is fine but kind of odd since her dad is also more of a darker complexion. I keep wondering when her pigment will change because yk how some babies come out white as hell and then gets darker over time. I checked her ears and it’s not darker than her body. She’s 4 months January. I just want to know what yall think I should put for her. My husband and I was just discussing this and we’re both lost 😭

I’d say keep filling stuff out the way you do. Color does not equal identity and race! I don’t know anything about pigment changing, but I’d say you’re doing the right thing.

I'm very light skinned Dominican and I do all three ❤️

@Sami you’re right , thank you

@Cynthia 🇩🇴🧜🏻‍♀️ wait u can choose white and black ? I didn’t know that

Yes put Hispanic and black it's not about what's on the outside it's about what's on the inside certain races are more prone to conditions and diseases

@Summer I get that , but the confusion on my part is that her dad puts white because he’s Hispanic idk 😂 but I’m also apart of her. I guess I can do both like what Cynthia says
