Anytime after 7 weeks the heart is seen

Hi, firstly Congratulations 💙🩷.I had a missed miscarriage back in May and I am also pregnant I am 7weeks 1 day, I totally understand how you are feeling, I wake up every morning thinking there’s going to be blood, I’ve been so ill this time round though nausea, a lot of gagging and feeling like I could sleep all day! I’m just hoping everything’s okay. I don’t think the anxiety ever stops but you just learn to deal with it. I would probably wait until 6/7 weeks so you can see a heartbeat, I’ve come to the conclusion I am just going to wait until my 12 week scan as I spent so much money on my first child’s private scans I can’t afford to do it this time round it is very hard though I just want to see a little heartbeat xx

Congratulations! I would suggest booking a scan in between 5-6 weeks as the heart beat can be detected as early as this, speaking from my own experience. However can also understand the emotions around it. I have had 3 MCs in this past year and the only way I have dealt with the anxiety is by trying not to get attached to the pregnancy. Lots of people here report they can only see a flicker and not yet hear anything at 6 weeks I’m in Canada and you usually wouldn’t get a scan till 8 weeks earliest when they are more certain to get real information

Thank you everyone. I phoned the scan clinic and they said it best to wait until after 7 weeks encase the dates were slightly off. I wish all of the best of luck in 2025 wherever your journey takes you xx
