It's hard to feel right now, but a lot of things went right for you to conceive then miscarry. Your partner has sufficient sperm count, your body's system is working and ready for pregnancy. Your body is designed to screen out problematic pregnancies. This time didn't work out, but it doesn't mean next time won't. It could be as soon as next month, keep trying. 🪻

@Bonny aww thank you..this means a lot. 🥹🥹It just a sudden shock tbh and some fear. I feel teary reading the first part.. like that should count for something right?? It happened and it means it can again 🥺🥺

Im so sorry for your loss 🫂 had a late miscarriage (21+6) with twin girls. Nothing wrong with the pregancy and nothing shown as problem after investigation, I went into spontaneous labour. The hardest and most brutal time of my life 😭 I conceived my rainbow, 7m after her sisters and she's just turned 9m ❤️ we waited 5m before having the discussion of another. both pregnancies were hard for similar and different reasons. I was on prescribed progesterone from 16w with my rainbow with cervical scans until 24w (starting at 16w) with a great support from my midwife and surrounding departments. Good luck to you 💕

@Megan im sorry you had to go through that, im very happy you had your rainbow baby 💕 may I know why you were prescribed progesterone? How will i know i need this for myself? And did you notice your ovulation symptoms the next month? Because in stressing over this too. Im supposed to be getting my period in the next two weeks and i dont have no sore breast, no egg white discharge no side crampss.... its really worrying me. I didnt notice it in November either but thats because i think i conceived but obviously it was short lived and miscarriage.

Thank you 💕 I was prescribed it by the obstetrics department after my first cervical scan. As there was no cause found, they prescribed as a precaution in case it was my cervix shortening that cause my spontaneous labour. Given that it was fine and my BG was delivered safely, they don't think it could have been that. You can always discuss it with your midwife to see what they think? I didn't track my Ovulation for a while but my first period after I stopped bleeding was quite bad and then I think it went back to normal about 2 cycles after. But I was further along so it could have been that my body was readjusting

@Megan we dont get midwives in canada until we are pregnant apparently so it sucks to not know. If i went to my dr.. i feel another sense of stress since he isnt always ready to refer. Im just trying not to panic and assume my ovulation stopped... i do feel a period like cramp lightly today that might be good news?

From my limited knowledge on it, progesterone is either prescribed once you're confirmed pregnant until 13w or from 16w until the end of the pregnancy. That's in the UK and I believe it based off of the type of miscarriage you have had. Again, I'm not entirely sure as I only found out what it was during my second pregnancy and then did research and asked alot of questions with my obstetrics Dr. I've known a few people who had early/first trimester losses who have then had several healthy pregnancies and babies afterwards. It's sounds stupid but try not to feel anxious around Ovulations. Not because it can "increase your chances" but because it makes it harder when you don't have symptoms or a positive line..also takes the fun out of making the baby 🤷‍♀️ You are bound to feel anxious surrounding your Ovulation, pregancy and so on, it's just trying to find the balance where it doesn't overwhelm you.I had counselling after my twins right up until the week before my rainbow was born.Might be worth looking into?

@Megan you are absolutely right about not worrying about it. Because then it feels soooo narrowed down and stressful. Thanks for explaining more about progesterone. I too know tons who had many MC and had babies non stop back to back lol. You know what i think makes this worrisome? Nobody ever talks about it!!! Yes we hear of miscarriages all the time but nothing else about it.. like what helps heal the uterus after? What to expect after? (Besides emotional side effects). Does period go back to normal etc etc? You know?? Its all unknown to us until it happens to us. I pray for my healthy rainbow baby and that is all i can really just try to focus on...

You're welcome 😊 Miscarriage is still a massive taboo and I've not met anyone who had a second trimester loss let alone a twin one. I make a point of talking about it and my girls where I can because they deserve a voice and as parents, we are their advocates. I think uterus wise, it depends on how you miscarry (I e. Did you need medical intervention). I bled for 6 weeks and then had a period 2 weeks later. After my first period, it just went back to normal for me. Due to how far along I was, I also had to medically checked 8 weeks after birth (same check if you carry to full term). I hope you get your rainbow 🌈 🫂
