I don’t have any personal advice on using but just wanted to say you shouldn’t be judged in anyway and actually applauded for taking the time to consider your mental health and having a plan for the post natal period. I think anything that is going to help you cope is a good thing and better than the alternative of struggling. I still don’t know whether I had pnd after my first (18 months ago) but those first few months were so tough especially because of the sleep deprivation & breastfeeding. Definitely had postpartum anxiety and intrusive thoughts fuelled by anxiety like what if I fall down the stairs holding her and would wake up thinking she was caught up in the duvet but was in her bassinet. Thinking about it, terries me to go through it again. So again totally applaud you for thinking about this and think if it’s going to help and you’ve had success with them in the past then that’s only going to help you & baby. I have therapy sessions lined up to help me.
Not after a baby but went on sertraline a couple of years ago. Best thing I ever did! They changed my life
Not sure if it helps, but my husband started them recently and they took 6 weeks to kick in and for him to feel any benefits. The doctor said this was normal, so I’d recommend having a good support system in place whilst you wait for them to start working. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
