We had accidents for 8 days, then the next day it just clicked, though up till a month ago the odd wee accident and almost every poo - 4 months later but now it’s perfect. Still wearing a nappy at bedtime
We're supposed to be potty training them now? 😅 In all seriousness though my little one loves the idea of sitting on a potty and then forgets that she has to "perform" and I know it's so hard for her despite our gentle encouragement 😭
Thanks @Emily and @Danielle! Really good to know!
@Zoe I had no real intention to potty train and would have happily waited but it was because me and my partner had a chunk of time off so wanted to take the opportunity!
We're on day 15, and he was incredible the first 2 weeks- no wee accidents (still not quite grasped poo), he was telling us when he needed a wee. The last 2 days he's just gone backwards, having accidents, refusing to try and sit on the potty. I think the novelty has worn off for him and its back to nursery tomorrow, but I'm persevering and not going back to nappies. I've read that potty regressions are pretty normal
I remember reading 2 or 3 accidents a day is still classed as successful at this point
