Putting baby on boob

Is anyone putting their baby on their boob every so often? I’ve heard breast milk changes as baby grows but I’m assuming your body needs the input from baby’s saliva to know how to adjust the breast milk as baby grows. My son has never wanted to nurse so I exclusively pump, but wondering if I should be putting him on my boob every so often so my body gets the feedback from him? He’s been sick recently so not sure how my body will know to make antibodies for him since he’s not nursing.

I had a read on this the other day and my conclusion was that the research was very minimal and pumped milk has just the same goodness as putting them on the boob x

I don’t think saliva to nipple contact is the only way to sync to your babies needs I think smelling them, cuddling them and kissing them had the same effect.

Your body gave birth.. your body knows your babies age. Also being in contact (Smell, kisses, hugs, snuggles and cuddles) with your baby is enough if your baby is sick. Think if you have a sick person at home... you still catch cold even if you maintain minimal contact.. it's like that.
