Contraception?

Just wanted ideas on what contraceptive they find to be the best for them? I’ve always been on the pill previously and stopped Iin Feb 2023 as I was getting married later on in the year and knew that we wanted to try for a baby after marriage and wanted my hormones to regulate by then. Since giving birth we’ve been using the “pull out and pray” method 😂 I’m thinking to try the copper IUD but have heard the bleeding and discomfort is a lot worse. Any experiences? Or what is your preferred contraceptive aside from a condom?

This is my second time with the implant and I’ve no issues with it, it pretty much stops my periods apart from maybe a bit of spotting every now and then but few and far between

I have the copper coil it works for me as has no hormones and don’t need to replace it for 5 years. I do spot sometimes on it a few days before and after my period so hopefully that will settle down but other than that I like it because o don’t have to think about it and its worked for me, hormonal contraception doesn’t agree with me

Was the pill you used progesterone only? I use the implant as it easy and I work well with progesterone based contraceptives.

I’m having my 4th implant put in at the end of the month. Don’t have to worry or think about it about it for 3 years. Unless you accidentally knock it and then you know where it is for the next couple of days 😂 Out of the 3 that I’ve had already I only bled on the first one and that was every 3 months , for 10 ish days. The other two no bleeding. But as a person that’s shit at creating habits like taking a pill everyday it’s worked for me.
