Mom Care Docs Review
Hi Edmonton Mothers, has anyone here used Mom Care Docs, how is their service, would you recommend it? I understand they only use Royal Alexandra Hospital, is it a good hospital?
I have been looking for a prenatal care as am going into second trimester without one. My doctor has made it clear he does not deal with pregnancy and he is really pushing I get OB or some care. So far with referrals he made no one has reached out as yet. I have also been looking for midwives on my own but unfortunately almost all of them will be closed in summer months for vacations. I requested appointment with mom care docs and they reached out for an appointment in February.
Lastly between 13 weeks and 18weeks are there any blood work that is required to be done? Just asking so that I request one with my doctor if there is need to do while waiting for my appointment with mom care.
Hello! I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time finding someone to follow your pregnancy! This is so frustrating. I'd say it would be better to go with Mom Care Docs than being with a doctor who's not comfortable following your pregnancy. When it comes to finding a midwife, don't give up. Midwives can only follow uncomplicated pregnancies, so it is very likely that some will lose their patients and will have space for new ones 😊 Also, if you know where the referrals have been sent, don't wait for them to give you a call, call them instead to squeeze your way in once they received the referral.
