Water Infection

Hey I had the same issue a few weeks back I went to the pharmacy they said they can’t do anything for pregnant women told me to speak to the receptionist at the doctors she then went and spoke to a gp and they advised to go to a&e hope this helps xx

I ended up going to triage, they gave me and baby a full check over and gave me antibiotics there and then.

I used to work for a pharmacy, they will not do it for pregnant women, it's a risk they're not willing to take incase anything happened, ring triage and they should be able to sort it for you x

You won’t get anything from the pharmacist, but you could ring triage and ask them because they’ll have a doctor there that can prescribe stuff after they’ve checked your urine. Or ring your doctors on Monday and drink cranberry juice and stay hydrated till then xx

Thank you all for your advice ❤️ that’s really helpful. I don’t know if it’s a water infection or just pressure from the baby, but it’s getting really uncomfortable. So perhaps I’ll see if triage want to check me over rather than guessing with someone over the phone. Thanks again 🙂

Same happen to me a called 111 and got a walk in appointment. But triage can help aswell xx

I’d definitely ring 111 maybe to seek advice especially if your having a bit of stinging when your passing urine it’s always best to get checked x

What’s water infection? Like infection from drinking water? Or as in your water broke?
