@Katie I feel so gross and off and I've had the implant one what's the same thing as in the shot and it wasn't like this
That's what i'm saying. My body's response to the implant was night and day different than my body's response to the shot. My body did better on the shot.
I don’t know but I’d sign up for the class action lawsuit and see if you can get some $$ for the exposure and stop taking it! https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwiy_ri42NuKAxWlW0cBHYY4D1wYABABGgJxdQ&co=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsv64uNjbigMVpVtHAR2GOA9cEAAYAiAAEgId-fD_BwE&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAASJeRoQWVAY0YG7m9Y8naFk417s4WUWr_FosoQV7UxiadyIyOdFGE&sig=AOD64_1CIPFLWesn4VyeObGkZuGIEzHpHw&q&adurl&ved=2ahUKEwjuhbS42NuKAxXyEFkFHeNJKAIQ0Qx6BAgeEAE
@Tiff what do you mean? It's a shot that last 12 weeks my next one due in March
@Katie what do you recommend ? Should I keep the shot since I haven been on any birth control since I was 20 now I'm 25 and it's just make body getting uses to it or switch to a different ones still I find one that works the best
Depo-Provera has been giving some people brain tumors later on and other serious health issues. I would not continue if that’s what you started taking! Drs are not up to date with lawsuits and sadly in the US lawsuits and horrible side effects do not spark any requirement to remove the product 😵💫, sometimes they have to remove temporarily but that often takes years if it even gets there.
@Tiff I'll stop using it and get a different bc
I'd find one that works best with your body.
@Tiff, I was on depot for almost a decade before trying to get pregnant. While yes, there are a host of potential side effects, just like any medication. One of the reasons that the two lawsuits I knew about coming out against depo never went anywhere was because there wasn't enough evidence to prove that it was the medication and not some other aspect of the person's life causing the issue. For example, there was one lawsuit about increased blood clots. Most of the group of people who started that lawsuit were also smokers. It's true that doctors aren't up to date on lawsuits, mainly because so many of them come and go without actually going to court that's trying to keep up with them would be pointless.
I did the depo shot and my period didn’t go away for 9 months.
@Katie Yes I read about 4 women who had public cases - 2 you’re referring to in that, but apparently that’s not where it ended, that’s just what is available to the public and they’ve had prior issues in the past and had things overturned back into the cycle of approval. You can still currently sign up for multiple additional lawsuits. If you look into the clinical trials of it it also gets sketchy…obviously not every person is subject to get a brain tumor, but there are cancer causing ingredients which to be fair are approved in a lot of vaccines and medicines, so we are use to rolling that off the cuff to some extent…but personally I try to avoid all of that. Some of our top cancers and even one of the top cause of liver failure in the US, quite literally killing people is aceteminophen….yet you can find 50 (pharmaceutical comany funded clinical studies) stating it’s “harmless” over time. I started it and stopped for this reason and now choose to avoid it all.
@Tiff, there's cancer causing ingredients in everything. From the pans you cook with to the clothes you wear. I understand that due to the job I did for 15 years, I was exposed to way more carcinogenics than the average person. Therefore, I do a little bit more research into just how carcinogenic something is before completely freaking out about something.
@Katie agreed - I don’t partake in most of those things and I think we should start shifting our thoughts on accepting it and get more ruthless on protecting ourselves. Especially as women - they quite literally don’t give a shit about our healthcare. To each his own ya know, some people really don’t care…I do, I know many other women do, but it’s definitely individualized to each persons views on that as a whole. I’ve literally gotten rid of all plastic in our kitchen, all lead containing cookware, don’t use a microwave any more or gas etc, we eat all organic/pastured. I make my own products and tinctures so I’m pretty crunchy lol.
@Justice damn that sounds horrible
This is something that is holy dependent on how your body reacts to the depo shot. For me, I never had a period on the shot, but when I tried to do the implant in the arm, I bled for 8 weeks straight. I would talk to your doctor and see what other forms are available.
