Bottle feeding mamas!

I’ve breastfed for over two years consecutively, my little boy is 2 in April and I’ve fed him all through pregnancy and now feeding both my newborn and toddler and I am struggling, my newborn has cmpa so I’ve had to cut out dairy and finding it really difficult. I’m trying to get my newborn into formula however, I have no idea what I’m doing, I’ve never done this before so I don’t know how much he should be having and how often? He’s also not really taking the bottle well (mam) so if anyone has any help on how to get him to take the bottle that would also be greatly appreciated. TIA🤍

I don’t have any advice re the formula, however we’re EBF and my baby refuses to take a bottle from me, but after abit of practice he’ll happily take it from his dad! I think he expects the boob and is then confused when it’s something else, but my partner he takes it no bother! May try your partner giving him the bottle with you out the room to start with so he can get used to it without the confusion of the boob! X

We only give some formula as a supplement but not on the bottle topic / we gave Dr Browns bottles and size 1 works great!

I have formula fed my baby from the beginning. I use Tommy tippee bottles. If he has been only breastfed start on the size 1 teat and I would start on 4 Oz and If he is finishing that bottle then next time go up to 5 oz

Thank you so much x

Lansinoh are the only bottles my ebf baby has taken! Xx
