It really pissed me off , I thought maybe I’m just hormonal but s year later I’m still thinking about it 😂. his attitude about it just stunk , I’ve always tipped if they was really nice or I noticed a kid in the car. At Christmas time we tip £10 to ALL the delivery guys and I can’t say for certain but I’m pretty sure we have tipped him in the past so the fact he’d expect it everytime , then have the cheek to say it 🤯
the food courier should be paying them more! it’s their job that they’d be doing regardless of YOU ordering so tipping because you order more often doesn’t even make sense🥴 it’s also giving them more opportunity to actually make money the more orders lol
Tipping should be a nice thing to do, not a compulsory thing to do. It's not America, but sadly it's turning into it. We're expected to tip everywhere now
I don't tip.. I never have cash for a start and that's why we pay a delivery fee. Just eat can charge us up to a fiver for delivery alone!
@Leanne you can add tips in the app now 🥴😂 And literally, I worked it out and we spent over 1k in delivery fees 🥴
We order all the time and we don’t tip in the app or in person, nor has anyone asked for a tip. This isn’t the US, it’s not expected for deliveries only table service. Doesn’t matter how much you order per week, the more orders they get the more work they get.
This isn't America so I don't think you should have to. Uber eats raises the price of the food and charges you a delivery rate and sometimes even a service charge depending on where you order. That driver was very rude and if he doesn't like what he's getting paid maybe he should look at getting a different job. When we lived in London and I was pregnant we ordered food and our lift was broke meaning the delivery driver had to walk up 4 flights of stairs, we tipped him because he could of just asked my partner to meet him downstairs like others have done before
I don’t it’s too much money that they’re charging me I order a lot via door dash and can pay 10 to 15 bucks plus in extra fees at times it’s ridiculous and that’s with a membership so unless they do something to go above and beyond I usually don’t
@Donna I think it would work out about the same I think I pay around £7/£8 in fees depending on what I order
Apologies I’m just now seeing uk 😌
So we ordered a lot of food when I was pregnant, it ranged from a few times day each day for weeks to a couple days a week depending on how I was ( I had server HG and was in and out of hospital) One day my partner is going to the door to get the food and the delivery guy says “ you order alot of food but never any tip , you should tip for how much you order “ 🥴
