What form of contraception are you on?

Needing to start contraception and really unsure as to what to do. Wondering what others are using? Thanks

I have got the mini pill from the doctors but haven’t started them yet as I’m not having sex anytime soon

Nuvaring. Easiest nicest contraception I've ever had.

I use the depo provera injection which I do at home every 13 weeks

I’m on cerezette which is a mini pill 😊

Depo shot. I had the implant but it was making my arthritis worse

I’ve been on and off birth control for about 10 years (mini pill and then the coil) in between having my babies, but it was really affecting my body, so now just condoms until my partner gets his vasectomy

Permanent. I got my tubes tied during my c section 😂

@Sarah I wanted to do this but then I was talked out of it n I honestly regret it sooo much

Went on the pill and had to come off as my hormones were all over the place and I was bleeding constantly ☹️ on the waiting list for the coil but it’s taking ages!!

i’m on the injection, was on it for 5 years then came off it for a year while TTC and now back on, works for me x

@Rachel this is me after 4 weeks on the pill constant bleeding and considering the coil now. But don’t really know anyone who has had the coil so unsure

Condom, I rly don’t want to mess with my hormones

@Vanessa they tried to talk me out of it so much. Only one consultant I saw was happy about it. Even on day of surgery in the theatre they were still asking if I was sure 😂

@Sarah ohh ok ya actually my drs were all on board they said I just needed to sign paperwork 30 days before. I got talked out of it from my cousins and my husband. I wish I didn’t let them influence me like I did

@Aria there's other options like the copper coil or nuvaring which doesn't affect your hormones as its a localised hormonal method so it only affects your uterus as the hormones are very low doses unlike the pill.

@Nazia my friend had constant bleeding with the pill so went on the copper coil and has had even more bleeding than she had before, she's bled for 8 weeks constantly x

@Phoebe-grace thank you for sharing, I have an informed choice :) I am happy with that.
