Please help

I feel like a horrible mom. My baby is 5 months, he’s always been fairly difficult, he cries a lot more than other babies. Lately I just feel like I can’t keep him happy, he’s always so upset. As a first time mom I’m not sure what I’m looking for if something is wrong or his temperament is just this way. For weeks he just puts me to tears I’m at a loss. Now he’s waking twice in the night and is nearly impossible to console without a bottle, I’m so exhausted from the daytime crying and fussiness and now to add in nighttime troubles too… I feel hopeless, exhausted, alone, emotional… I don’t know I just hope it’s nothing I’m doing wrong, I just want to be a good mom to him. I always wanted 2 babies but he’s making me horrified to have another baby if this is how it is😭Sorry for the vent, I just don’t have anyone to talk to

Could he be teething? ❤️

@Gael His two bottom teeth have broke through, I can see his top two under the front of his gums, can this still bother him? Does teething last awhile or just until the teeth pop through?

Message me mama!

Unfortunately it lasts until all the teeth come in 😅 molars and everything!

Get teething tablets

He’s probably just in pain! Not anything you’re doing wrong! Clearly you care so much! Keep going ❤️ you got this. Maybe look up some remedies to help him?

You’re not alone, mama. Sending you a big loving hug. I’m thinking gas & or teething. Are you Breast feeding or formula?

You’re not alone it’s tough but everything is temporary. Babies can feel when you’re stressed out and agitated. So it makes it seem like is a lot tougher than what it is. If you’re near SoCal message me.

Yeah unfortunately each tooth is going to bother him as it starts to come through and cutting multiple at a time is just rough. My oldest uses to cut one and then 3 at a time. It made it so much harder for her to fall asleep. Hopefully you get a break after these ones come in. Good luck

I love legendairy milk teething gel and my baby gets excited when she sees me bring it over. Try gum massage (pressure on the gums with your finger), a teething gel like the one i mentioned (not orajel) or try breastmilk Popsicles if youre nursing. I bought an $8 breastmilk popsicle maker and baby loves that as well. It creates little ice cubes of breastmilk you put into what is basically a pacifier with holes so they can chew it and the cold milk helps their gums.

He has discomfort, that's why he is fussy. They go through griping of the tummy, teething and congestion being fussy, and crying is their only way of communicating.

Tylenol can help too for teething. Can someone watch him for a few hours and give you some breaks… might be good to join a support group for new moms too in your area
