Advice needed!!

My daughter ended up in hospital a few days ago and has been diagnosed with a UTI. We was sent home with antibiotics but because they had to do all sorts of tests in the hospital it’s scared her into taking them. She used to be amazing at taking calpol, neurophen etc. We have tried mixing with puree, adding to her bottles, drinking it out of a straw and she isn’t having any of it. I have managed to give her two doses today out of 3 but we have another two days to go! Any advice would be much appreciated. Xxx

I came here for the comments! So sorry to hear you LO was in hospital. I feel your pain with the medicine. My LO is off his food with being unwell. He just spits out 75% of the antibiotics, so not sure he even getting enough for it to work!

Bump!

If you can use a syringe and squirt a small amount into her cheek and then blow in her face it will trigger a swallow reflex. With my eldest we used to put it on a spoon and put a few sprinkles on the top so it looked ‘magical’. Or mix it with yogurt. Hope she’s better soon!

In France they gave me a doliprane version to insert in the babies bum, as my LG would spit anything, even at hospital here in london she pulled her cables out and they ended up having to use injection for the antibiotics. Our little ones have strong minds!!
