How long after jabs were your babies unsettled for?

Our baby had his eight week jabs six days ago now, and is still really not himself. His initial sleepiness disappeared within the first 48 hours, but continued to look super tired for few days after. His stomach seems to be completely unsettled with lots of dirty nappies, wind, and he’s feeding for shorter periods of time but more frequently. He seems to be so uncomfortable at times, and has gone from managing to sleep 4/5 hours at night by himself to only being able to sleep on his stomach on us. He is only sleeping on his own for about 30 mins at a time if we put him down and he wakes within minutes in the day. He seems to not go into ‘deep sleep’ properly now (we have the owlet) and i have notice he is startling himself a lot, and having mini wake while sleeping constantly which he didn’t have before. He just seems still unlike himself but is still feeding, has no temp etc. i’m not sure if this is to do with him having a developmental leap or a side effect from the vaccine or how to help him get back to sleeping better☹️

It’s likely that he’s just got bad side effects from the rotavirus. My girl was the exact same! She got better after 7/8 days and a trip to our GP as she was also projectile vomiting. She did a really solid poo and they think she was constipated and the diarrhoea was by passing it!

There is also an 8 week sleep regression as they start to experience more of the world at 8 weeks so it could also be that as well. Not to scare you but our LO is 12 weeks now and has only just (like the last few days) gone back to sleeping decently (hoping it’s not a fluke 🤣)

@Isabel i think so as his tummy just seems so unsettled, he’s passing loads of watery stools. Was there anything the GP suggested or just let them ride it out?

@Emily I think it’s a mix of this and the jabs! He’s certainly more aware, which is why i think he’s hating things like his pram where we put him down or his carrier where he can’t see🫠

@Louisa No, just ride it out but before we went she did the hardest stool ever. I’d be happy to send you a photo, since then it seems to be better but we’ve added carobel to our formula as she has CMPA anyways!
