Have a friend who had similar issues, she ended taking it out and going with a coil IUD.
Call your gp about it and have it removed as 5 months of bleeding isn't normal! I had bleeding issues with the hormonal level dropped (3 months after insertion) and had it removed. If you want something hormonal but not the pill, I'd recommend the hormonal coil. My mood is better on it and only bled 3 times during the 18 months I had it. I had one prior to pregnancy and getting a new one fitted in a few weeks as its what works best for me
I had the implant too. I was only spotting but it was for 6 months. Then I stopped for 2 weeks and started spotting again for a week and not had anything for a month. It’s the hormones from the implant, some women bleed the whole time they have it, some never, some as normal and some all over the place
Yep, me too. The gp will do tests if you've had it in for 3 months xxx
