Yeah she's 5 months, I only got it cause the nurse that did her jabs said that was the only thing that worked with her baby but doesn't seem to be making much difference, however as it's not her bottom teeth I don't even know if im putting it in the right place! I will get some of that and give it a go, thank you!
@Ruby oh perfect! Iāve found different things work for different babies. My little one hates teething toys but will happily chew on his muslinš I gave him a dose of the powder maybe half hour ago and heās happy and smiling nowš„°defo check the top 2 and if itās not that then I have no ideaš
@Rosie yeah mines the same! Tbh she's not even really crying about it she's just wincing when she touches it so I've been reluctant to use too much so incase somehow it stops having an effect before she really needs it! But ill buy some of that cause its been about a week now so hopefully should come through soon
I always found ashton and parsons gel worked best. I even used it on my wisdom teeth when I didnt have anything else and it worked. The powder works too i just find the gel easier to give them x
Anbesol liquid works better than the gel you can get it over the counter at a pharmacy xx
@Naomi yeah that's what I've got!
Ah OK. Not sure why it's not doing a good job I did use the powders as well though so that may have been why xx
@Naomi I think it's literally just that I'm not sure which teeth are coming through so maybe not putting in right place, it's either the top ones or one at the back I think
Ashton and Parsons teething powder is amazing! Health visitor recommended it to us. My little boy is teething to but can only see white in the top of his gums too. They look more red and sore than the bottom too
@Becky Evans yeah she's the same! No idea where the tooth is going to come from tbh
Same, im giving him the powder every day as he has a fussy spell for about 2 hours where his hands are in his mouth and his cheeks are bright red so i dont think it will be long
@Becky Evans aw hopefully it comes through soon!!
I hope so! Horrible seeing them upset
I have literally tried every single teething related item on the market because when my LO is teethingā¦ itās Horrendous!!! Screaming inconsolably form morning till night. The powders and Ambesol worked best for us. And yes I have given my LO it before sheās 5 months old. Literally nothing wrong with that!! I also use neurofen sometimes but Iām wary of it because of the liver issues it can cause if used a lot. This last teething episode I also used one of those feeding dummyās with holes in. I put some frozen milk in. They worked a TREAT!!! I also think her top two canines and coming through first which is really weird. I can feel two spikes where they are supposed to be. And canāt feel anything on the bottom. So strange. Which ones can you feel coming through on your LO? X

@Francesca aw bless her, I've looked at them dummy's but she's formula fed so not sure what to do there? I can't feel anything except maybe the top front two, but she's sticking her fingers to the side like it could be one at the back? Can't feel anything on bottom either!
@Ruby mines formula fed too and unfortunately isnāt advised to freeze. You could try boiling water as you would for bottles, letting it cool and soak a bit of a muslin in it (folded up so itās a bit chunky) and putting that in the freezer. I havenāt tried this yet as heās quite happy just chewing on the muslin as it is but it has been recommended to me a lot x
@Ruby yes my LO is formula fed as well. I put freshly made formula into a new silicone ice tray and put it in the freezer straight away so it froze within an hour. I didnāt have any issues. Obviously please do whatever you feel comfortable with. I hadnāt heard of other teeth coming through before the bottom two but maybe itās a thing š

Anbesol is only recommended for babies over 5 months (not sure how old your little one is) and the nhs states that there isnāt much evidence teething gels actually work Iāve been using ashtons and parsons teething powder and itās been a dream! All you have to do is split the packet in to 2 doses and use a spoon to pour on to babies tongue. Donāt need to know which tooth it is either which helps You can give nurofen at this age too Have you checked the top front ones? The front top and bottom usually come in around the same time
