Bottle feeds

My son is 10 months. He doesn’t want to barely drink formula. Already have an appointment with pediatrician because I’m not sure what’s up with it but I wanted to check and see what your feeding schedules are like with your 10 m olds? The lady at WIC told me 24 oz in a 24 hour time period which he did get yesterday! But it was a struggle!

My son has cut back significantly. He’s also teething and getting more and more interested in table food so I’ve been supplementing more. His pediatrician said yogurts, purees, icepops (for teething), and apple juice + water mixes are all okay so he’s at least getting fluids.

My son breastfeeds so it's hard to tell how much he gets...he's definitely eating less. He's only nursing 5 times a day total including an overnight feed. Once upon waking, before his 2 naps, before bed, and once overnight. He literally refuses to nurse if i offer more often. He only took 8oz of pumped milk last time I was working. (Plus 2 nursing sessions) my best guess is he's only drinking 16oz a day total. He does like table food though and drinks water with his meals plus some purees. I know its normal to decrease as they increase their food intake but I still worry if he's getting enough.

My son has completely refused it now, our pediatrician recommended mixing it with baby oatmeal and that works, and then they gave us iron supplements to make up for him taking in less. I do still collect all the can WIC provides tho, and I donate what I don’t use. I now go through maybe 2 cans a month.

Also make sure the real foods your baby are eating are well balanced! Iron rich proteins, grains, dairy, fruit/veg needs to be given daily since formula usually supplements this. I find it easiest to just feed my baby what’s on my plate.

Give real food then
