Looking for a job while pregnant
Hi
I am looking if anyone knows anyone who will hire someone that is pregnant. I am currently 21 weeks and I am going out my mind being in the house . This pregnancy was a shock and I was starting a new career which was not deemed safe due to medical history etc . I am now looking for work but who I going to hire someone pregnant and will be only available for work for 4 months.

Could be worth trying an agency and doing short term work? X
Hi, I’m in the same boat, I left my job in November due to moving too far to commute and I think who is going to hire for a few months. Feel like a liability and even though I can say I can lift and move pallets etc I don’t think health and safety would let me. I hope you find something, maybe through an agency for temp work? X

I know it’s against the law for employers not to hire based on pregnancy but of course, they don’t actually have to tell you that that’s why. My partner was looking for a job while I was pregnant and it was even a struggle for him. He found one role that was perfect, his interview went perfectly, he had outstanding qualifications and they really liked him. He then mentioned that I was pregnant out of courtesy and a few days later, they said they found someone else (yeah right). My partner decided to apply for another job after that and just not tell them i was pregnant until he was hired. He got 6 months full pay paternity leave (it was one of the company’s benefits). But it’s obviously different for him because he wasn’t the pregnant one and he didn’t have a bump!
