New sibling gifts?

What did everyone get their older baby off their new baby to help with the transition, I’m due in 3.5 weeks with our second, my first has just turned 22months and we’re moving house in 3 weeks so there’s gonna be loads of changes at once and I’m worried she’ll resent the new baby 🥺

I got my son a baby doll. He copied what I do to my baby, we changed the nappies, fed them, put them down gently. I also found it helped my toddler be gentle with his little brother!

I didn't do anything actually and my 1 year old absolutely loves my almost 3 month old she'll see the baby and go "😯 baby!" And run and give her kisses on the head it's the sweetest thing they're 17 months apart

@Angel I was thinking this but she got loads of dolls and dolls things (prams, carrier, car seat etc) for Christmas so think it’d just get thrown in with all them x

@Beth ah yes probably. Maybe some drawing packs to keep her occupied while ur attending ur new baby

We got our oldest a shirt that said “big brother/sister finally”. A book about “I am a big brother/sister”. And for baby from the older sibling: A onesie that said, “new brother or new sister” (we didn’t know what we were having). And some soothers.

I done my oldest a backpack gift when his brother was born. In it I included: - activities - coloring books & washable markers (you could always get the magic water sets) - some little toys - a few books - 1 about how he’s a big brother - a note from baby And - a brothers photo album (I ended up gluing the note into their photo album)

We had spent the pregnancy telling my daughter how her baby brother is in my belly, as it got closer that he'd be here soon. As a gift we got her a little teddy and gave it to her when she first saw him saying it was from him. We were worried how she'd react to him as noone (including her dad was allowed touch me before he arrived) but she was great and still is. Like today he was in his bouncer and straight away she got a blanket and put it on his legs, she gets his soother if he cries and absolutely loves pressing the buttons to make his bottles. There's 19 months between them. Hopefully it won't be as bad as you think

Depend on age! This time I got them a bracelet each from Joma jewellery, when they were younger and siblings were born I got big sister t shirts and a small toy
