Nursery

Just got back from first settling-in session at nursery and freaking out a bit. Does the following sound normal or a cause for concern? Thanks 1) kids all just roaming free in quite a big room… staff ratio of 1:3 but includes agency staff, his key worker is key worker to five or six babies, but random as to who if anyone is looking after him at any given point 2) hard wooden floors - he fell from pulling up on me and bonked his head even with me breaking his fall… if he’s not being supervised will likely fall hard and hit his head 3) no menus to know what they’re having - kids apparently just sit round table and expected to try to feed themself, tho they said they’d help them if required

Hey… I’ve worked in nurseries for over 10 years. Feel free to message me if you wanna talk about your concerns x

Hey. Worked with children for 20 years. Unfortunately it is just like that!

The only one I find a bit odd is the menus tbh. But I'm sure if they'd ask they would send you it. If they are unable to feed themselves they should be fed but saying that, trying to feed that many babies must be difficult so I can understand where self feeding comes in. My little one feeds herself and is fed, the nursery are encouraging her to use a spoon at the minute which I think is great
