Please help me

Mamas, my 7 month old is strictly formula fed and bottles but she HATES bottles. She won’t drink from them most of the time even if she is hungry. We are doing solids 3x a day and try to do the rest bottles, but I am so tired of fighting with her and I’m at a loss at what to do. I’ve tried all kinds of bottles, different flows, this morning I resorted to a cup and straw and she downed it. Should I try getting a sippy cup with a straw? I’m so frustrated and so lost on what to do and feel defeated. Please help😪

This sounds like I wrote this! My son is 7.5 months old now and we went through the exact same thing. It could be something called bottle aversion. There’s a good book on it you can also read by Rowena Bennett. Our doctor said if he wants to take it from a straw that’s more than fine!!! I know how frusturating it can be :( we went through that for weeks.

Have you tried just giving it in a cup or water bottle? My 7 month old won't drink out of any baby bottle anymore, and doesn't know how to use a straw yet, but she'll chug from a regular cup or water bottle. It's a bit messy, but she's already gotten much better at it. She also likes her sippy cup, but prefers a regular cup.

I shed so many tears. Read that book! And yes it’s possible she just doesn’t want the bottle anymore as she’s getting older

@Genevieve I did try this morning and she did drink from the cup, so maybe that’s what I need to do. Cause she’s just so over bottles. But that reassures me that I’m not the only one, because I know kids over 1 that still love their bottle so I thought something was wrong with us
