Baby Leo is finally here ☺️

Was due on the 18th Jan but he decided to come earlier, on 6th Jan (38+2). FTM here. Felt my water break with a pop and the water was also blood stained. Contractions began pretty much after that but it was steady at 5 mins apart from 12pm till 6pm, then they decided to induce me with the oxytocin drip. Contractions began to pump up and I couldn’t hold off on painkillers any longer. Glad I took the epidural from 10pm! Unfortunately I was still only 4cm dilated by 6am the next morning and because my waters had broken they recommended a c-section as baby is quite big and is also stuck in the delivery route 😂 definitely not part of my birth preferences of a calm and relaxing water birth! But I’m glad he is finally here and we are both safe. Good luck to all mamas out there - you got this!

Congratulations!

@Natalie thank youuuu 🥹

@Aimee how wild isn’t it!! Can’t imagine going through it without epidural tbh

@Felicia super crazy! I was on the oxytocin drip from 11am til 9pm with only gas and air but unfortunately just didn’t dilate quick enough after my waters broke!! It wasn’t anything I was expecting after the thought I’d have a water birth too 😂 but as long as everyone is safe and healthy! Xxx

Congratulations Mama 🎊 🩷
