I was told I had a T-shaped uterus during one of my FET rounds, I think possibly my 3rd of 7. I researched lots and thought it was a huge issue but I was categorically told by the IVF clinic, my NHS recurrent miscarriage specialist and my private fertility and recurrent miscarriage consultant that it wouldn’t be contributing to any of our miscarriages or fertility issues unless it was a ‘true’ T shaped uterus caused by DES exposure. They said that it was just the shape of my uterus and was actually very common but is confused with the DES exposure which is completely different x
yeah my consultant has said it’s not a problem for fertility or implantation but it can mean that a c section is more likely. However I’ve not managed to make it to a transfer phase of ivf yet so xx
@Dannielle My Dr is adamant she will still get me pregnant. She has 2 attempts left. I didn't even know it was a thing 😂
@Jade I was told it would be harder to conceive and I'm higher risk of miscarriages too. I looked into the DES exposure and don't think I fall into that. At least they know next transfer needs to be higher up
I didn’t either and I thought my consultant said D shape for weeks until I actually read my notes properly and was like ohhhh T shape not D shape 😂 I actually asked the embryologist after my egg collection if it meant there was less room for the embryo to float around so surely it means it’s more likely to stick 😂 I think I was high as a kite from all the meds at egg collection but it made sense to me haha xx
