Adoption

Has anyone on here gone through with adoption? I’m currently going through the process of going to do this and I feel so alone and just disgusted in myself . I don’t really know who or how to talk to anyone about it without them understanding experience wise ?

You wanna give up your baby for adoption or you adopting someone?

I don’t have any personal experience other than a few cousins being adopted because their mother was not stable nor able to care for herself, let alone a child. I think that you choosing to give your child to a family who wants and is able to care for them is amazing. And regardless of your reason that makes you a good person too to put your child before yourself. My aunt had her children taken away from her (many years ago so I was a child myself) but you’re choosing your child to be loved and cared for from the start. That counts a whole lot and is going to be the whole course for your child’s life- whether it’s opened or closed adoption is your choice for what is best for your mind and sanity. It’s a tough choice, but having a child is a lifelong choice of full dedication. If you can’t or don’t want that, it is what it is so choose best for the both of you. God bless you and be safe🩵

I'm guessing you are putting your child up for adoption...

I was adopted

I, and all my siblings were adopted. The smartest thing my bio mom did was put us up. We had a bunch of mental illnesses and not a great family situation either. I’m in contact with my bio siblings and I definitely had it a lot easier than they have. I grew up with a doctor for a mom and a huge family!! (Almost everyone including grandma, aunts, dad, step siblings are adopted as well)
