@Ashleigh were you over 20 weeks? X
Yes I was over 20 weeks x
Okay thank you. I've read lots about it being okay but then I read all the horror story's of what can happen. Thank you.x
The guidance in NSAIDS used to be defo not in third trimester but then they changed it to over 20 weeks but they just advise don't take it at all. Regular use can cause problems with the amniotic fluid and some links to kidneys. You've not taken it regularly You've had one dose so I would say it's done now but don't take anymore. Try not to worry but you can call your maternity triage department if you are worried they should be open 24/7
@Sarah I've just rang triage and they said you shouldn't take it at all in pregnancy which changes depending who you talk to which is annoying but she said it should be okay as I'm not a regular user but to keep an eye on movements of baby which is difficult as I'm not completely feeling her properly yet. 😔
Only paracetamol is to be taken during pregnancy try and get out tomorrow and grab some more x
I was in hospital for a week over New Years, I was 19 weeks and when I reached the daily allowance of paracetamol the hospital gave me ibuprofen and said it was fine as long as it wasn't super regular, so I'd say you'll be OK!
I was prescribed ibruprofen gel, I know it’s a bit different, but I had to use it for about 5 days for ligament damage in my ankle x
@Nikita thank you. I'm hoping everything will be okay as was a one off just Google is horrible and scary 😕
I took it once when I was in really bad pain and baby was fine x
