Swan ward

Just a quick question as I'm not sure as it goes. I have an induction on Wednesday and we're starting at swan ward can anyone tell me about their experiences on swan ward? What's it like?

I got home from my C-section on the swan ward on Sunday after 4 days in I also stayed in when my waters went at 34 weeks. My experience was lovely the midwife’s are lovely they are busy so you will need to use your call button if you need them. They helped me so much with feeding and my boy was jaundice that was picked up straight away and the infant feeding time are amazing who fine if you are struggling I didn’t have an induction but I know many people who did at swan ward they said the ward was lovely

But of course the induction progress itself could be long they said

@Izzy do they let your partner stay cus on the leaflet they handed me is says that there not aloud to stay overnight and I'm quite anxious

Mine stayed every night until about 1 then he went home to get sleep. They seemed fine with birth partners staying that’s in my case anyway they just kept saying he will need to sleep on the chair and can’t have a bed

They are funny about other people coming out of visiting hours who are not your birth partner

Visiting was 4-6

They fully knew I needed my partner

I was induced in April. Ignore all the negative induction stories. You have got this. I’d try do some hypnobirthing if you haven’t already. I’d deffo take headphones for swan wars
