Chipped tooth

I feel like the worst mom ever.. my little girl was jumping yesterday and she lost her balance resulting in hitting the baby gate with her mouth. She cried for a little but was fine after. I noticed that the only thing she hurt herself was her tooth and she chipped it. Should I be concerned?? I feel so bad like I know I couldn’t of avoided it happening but oh my I just feel like the worst person in the planet

I work in dentistry, please don’t feel bad! It happens all the time. As long as she’s not in pain and there’s no swelling in the gum, there’s nothing to be concerned about. There’s a small chance that the tooth may discolour overtime but from what you’ve said i’d say that’s unlikely x

My little girl chipped her two front teeth last summer when she was about 18 months and I was heartbroken about it but she didn’t even care! Just so you know you’re not alone 🩷

Thank you so much 🤍 it’s heartbreaking but it’s nice to know it happens often 🙏🏼
