Potty training - nights

So I'm going to add to the abundance of posts about potty training..BUT my only question is what to do at nights. We recently started potty training and it's going OK, still some accidents but that's just how it is. I don't understand how to potty train at nights. For now we just use the nappy at nights but then..how do they learn? If it's no nappy and hope for them to wake up clearly it's not going to happen immediately so does everyone just change the sheets multiple times at night? Do you wait for them to wake you? I just don't understand how it works, sorry for the ignorance. Can you help?

Trying Using pull ups?. I didn’t try night time training until after my son was fully potty trained for about 6 months. He wasn’t ready. Left it a couple of months and tried again. He got it right away. X

I'm still on the day training, but plan to tackle nights once fully trained on the day. My sister used to take the kids to the toilet before she went to bed, and sit them on the toilet half asleep and then take them back to bed so I plan to do the same once we're at that stage x

I’m struggling with the day training. Please can anyone tell me the steps to take? My little one tells me clearly when she wants to poop or pee but will never do it in the potty. She’s 2years and 2months

I'd wait until there more established with potty training in the day. I noticed with my first son his night nappies weren't as wet so thats when I knew to start at night time. We used a pull up at night and put him on the toilet at 10pm before we went to bed. But wait until they are a bit dryier at night time x

You don’t train at night, it’s hormonal 🙂 when they’re ready the hormone will reduce the amount of pee produced at night and they’ll be able to hold it

Agree with Irita, just wait til they’re consistently waking with dry nappies in the morning. Otherwise it sounds like a whole lot of disturbed nights changing sheets 😴

You cannot train at night as it is hormonal. My nearly 4 year old has been potty trained for over a year and half and still wears a pull up at night. You can encourage going for a pee just before bed and then again as soon as you wake up to start some good habits

With both my older children daytime training was established quickly then we just continued with pull-ups at night til they had a week of dry pull-ups in the morning
